Our Purpose
To provide an open platform for women to pray, mingle and meet other women with like minds and spirits. A platform to share ideas and bond over issues faced daily by women and service them with an uplifting experience and message of hope.
About the Founder, Host, and Speaker :
Delvata is a wife, mother of five loving biological children and a plethora of children that lovingly call her “Mom” or “Auntie”. She is currently employed working with Human Relations and Community Services. She is skilled in Dispute Resolution and conflict resolution and possesses extensive legal, interrogation, mediation, negotiation, arbitration, restorative practices experience and training, all of which she uses to promote peace.
Delvata is a member of the Greater Lansing Area Club and was appointed as the Woman of Spiritual Encouragement and received the Club Sister of the year award. Delvata absolutely loves working with and encouraging women, youth and children. She has served as Chair of a Youth Club, a Summer Youth Intern Coordinator, a mentor and Youth Department Director, has taught Women and Children’s Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and choir director for adult and children’s choirs.
Delvata is extremely dedicated to helping others and in 2017 she founded Issues of the Heart, an organization designed to encourage the hearts and minds of women and children who are facing similar challenges that she and her children endured. Delvata stated, “My goal is to always give hope, help and encouragement to someone - simply because, ‘somebody’ helped me”. If I can help somebody as I pass along, if I can cheer somebody with a kind word or song, if I can show somebody they are traveling wrong, then my living will not be in vain!!
At our event, we feature a distinguished main speaker who shares invaluable insights. We invite community support through sponsorships and ticket sales, ensuring we can continue our mission and further amplify women's voices. By participating, you contribute to a greater purpose.
